Job Description

A Contract Management Officer plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing company contracts throughout their lifecycle. They ensure that all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements, monitor contractual performance, and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders. Their role involves not only drafting and negotiating contracts but also analyzing risks, enforcing compliance, and executing amendments when necessary. As a key member of the procurement or legal department, the Contract Management Officer ensures operational efficiency by minimizing risks associated with contractual agreements. Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts with various stakeholders.
  • Analyze contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Manage contract lifecycle from initiation through execution and renewal processes.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with contractual agreements and terms.
  • Collaborate with legal, sales, and procurement teams to align contractual needs.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of all contract-related documents.
  • Monitor contract performance, ensuring that all parties adhere to the terms agreed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for queries regarding contractual obligations and changes.
  • Conduct training sessions on contract management for relevant staff members.
  • Resolve any contract-related disputes promptly to avoid business disruptions.
  • Implement systems and tools to track the progress of contracts and amendments.
  • Support the continuous improvement of standard contract templates and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in contract management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and comprehensive negotiation skills required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex contract terms.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple contracts and prioritize demands efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
