Job Description

The Contract Management Officer is essential in ensuring that all contracts are managed effectively throughout their lifecycle. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and an ability to negotiate and review terms to protect and advance the organization's interests. A Contract Management Officer must be adept at managing legal aspects of contracts, understanding compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Develop, negotiate, and administer contracts in accordance with company policies.
  • Review and interpret contract terms to identify potential risks or discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company standards in all contracts.
  • Lead contract review meetings with internal and external stakeholders proactively.
  • Provide guidance on contract amendments and extensions for ongoing projects.
  • Maintain a comprehensive contract database for easy access and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with finance departments to monitor budget adherence and contract costs.
  • Facilitate effective communication between legal, financial, and operational teams.
  • Prepare and present contract reports to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of contract management policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in contract management or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and related legal principles is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple contract projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in contract management tools and software is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
