Responsibilities

• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Resolve customer complaints and answer questions about store policies.
• Operate point of sale systems and other store equipment smoothly.
• Assist customers with locating products and offer suggestions when needed.
• Ensure pricing is accurate and up-to-date throughout the store.
• Balance cash drawers and prepare deposits at the end of shifts.
• Monitor for potential security risks by keeping an eye on suspicious behavior.
• Participate in training sessions and team meetings to improve skills.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and advertised products.
• Facilitate a welcoming atmosphere by greeting all customers warmly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
• Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and team.
• Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills and point of sale systems.
