Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and manage cash, check, and credit transactions.
• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Scan items, apply discounts, and ensure all prices and quantities are correct.
• Process returns, exchanges, and issue receipts efficiently and courteously.
• Answer customer queries and resolve complaints in a professional manner.
• Maintain the checkout area in a clean and organized condition.
• Count and balance cash drawer before starting and at the end of each shift.
• Assist with the stocking of shelves and maintaining stock levels as required.
• Keep track of transactions and report any discrepancies to management promptly.
• Manage gift card sales and assist with loyalty programs and promotions.
• Collaborate with team members to improve customer service and sales strategies.
• Stay informed about store policies, promotions, and current offers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required, further education is a plus.
• Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Basic math skills and a keen understanding of handling cash transactions.
