Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and organized Automotive Spare Parts Store Keeper to manage and oversee our inventory of automotive parts. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the spare parts inventory is well-stocked and maintained, enabling our service department and customers to receive parts promptly and efficiently. As the Store Keeper, you will play a crucial role in the operations by tracking inventory levels, placing orders, and coordinating with suppliers. Your attention to detail and ability to organize will be essential in ensuring that parts are accurately categorized and accessible. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, a keen understanding of automotive parts, and excellent organizational skills.


Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify the accuracy of incoming parts and supplies.
  • Maintain an organized inventory system for easy access and retrieval of parts.
  • Ensure that inventory is stocked at optimal levels to meet demand without overstocking.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to place orders and manage delivery schedules effectively.
  • Monitor and manage aging inventory to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain a system for tracking parts movement and usage within the store.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary records, reports, and documentation related to inventory.
  • Assist customers and service personnel in identifying and locating needed parts promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during operations.
  • Address discrepancies in inventory counts and report them to management for resolution.
  • Train and supervise any junior staff or assistants in proper inventory management procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess the efficiency and accuracy of the inventory system.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications are a plus.
  • Prior experience in an automotive parts or similar inventory management role.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of automotive spare parts and their applications.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods during the workday.
