About Unifize
Unifize is a no-code, AI-native workflow and quality management platform built for regulated manufacturers — medical devices, pharma, aerospace, food, and automotive. Customers include Airbus, Biovation Labs, and The Will-Burt Company. The India team is small, fast-moving, and directly supports US-based enterprise accounts.
About The Role
This is a junior technical role (1–3 years) that sits at the intersection of software configuration, workflow automation, and customer delivery. You will work as an extension of the Implementation Lead, building and configuring automations, workflows, forms, and data models on the Unifize platform for assigned customer accounts. This role is a merger of what were previously two separate positions — Implementation Engineer and Automation Engineer — so you will own both the build and the configuration end-to-end.
What You'll Do
Write, debug, and own automation scripts and workflow configurations on the Unifize platform
Design and build trigger-based automations (record creation, field updates, conditional logic)
Configure customer-facing PDFs, forms, and data models
Understand and translate customer process requirements into platform solutions
Use and verify AI-generated outputs integrated into automations — you own what ships, not just what you prompted
Participate in customer calls alongside the Implementation Lead; occasionally respond to questions independently
Work US hours: arrive at office (~1pm IST) on hybrid days, continue remotely until ~11pm IST
Must Haves
Ability to write and debug scripts in any scripting language (language agnostic — principles matter more than the specific tool; internal stack is Clojure, moving toward JSON config)
Strong problem-solving ability — can reason from a novel problem statement to a method, not just pattern-match known solutions
Actively verifies AI-generated output before shipping — owns the result, not just the prompt
Wants to move away from pure engineering toward customer/product-adjacent work — can articulate why
Willing to join customer calls and speak on them when asked
Clear communicator — basic audibility and confidence on a call is required
Genuinely coachable and open to feedback
Willing to learn a new industry (regulated manufacturing) from scratch
Good to Have
Hands-on experience with a no-code or low-code platform (Airtable, Appian, Mendix, Tulip, Zapier, Make, or similar)
Exposure to a regulated industry — medical devices, pharma, life sciences, aerospace, automotive, or food manufacturing
Prior customer-facing experience — BA work, demos, support, or client calls
Evidence of AI tool usage in actual work output (LLMs for specs, configs, or automations)
Experience writing technical specifications or process documentation
Background at a Salesforce or SAP implementation partner
CS or ECE engineering degree
What This Is Not
Not a QA or test automation role
Not a path to senior backend or systems engineering
Not a 9–6 desk job — US shift hours are non-negotiable
Growth Path
Two tracks: (1) Implementation Lead — managing large US enterprise accounts end-to-end; (2) Automation/Integration Specialist — deeper technical specialisation in AI-enabled workflows and integrations. The most immediately available path is the Implementation Lead track.
