What Role You Will Play In Our Team ExxonMobil, one of the largest publicly traded international energy companies, uses technology and innovation to help meet the world’s growing energy needs. We are looking for minimum 3 years experienced engineers with an emphasis on data engineering and analytics using visualization tools to provide wells engineering support across ExxonMobil’s global portfolio. This position will also require interaction with the broader data science and analytics career community in ExxonMobil India to share best practices and upskill on various technologies (Snowflake, Databricks, many others). What You Will Do
Create intuitive and effective visualizations of drilling, completion, and production data from multiple repositories to provide immediate insights.
Work in teams on data visualization projects using Spotfire /Power BI to solve complex engineering and business problems.
Develop data models on Wells – drilling, completion and production data.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate data from various sources (PI, SAP, EC, CORVA etc.)
Identify and collaborate with various teams to resolve data quality issues.
Provide engineering recommendations in drilling, completions, and well performance area to ExxonMobil Wells teams based on data modeling and analysis
Create tutorials, SOP documentation, training material pertaining to data modeling and analysis if required.
Engage with stakeholders to meet expectations by valuable and actionable insights.
Develop custom visuals to deliver effective and accurate insights.
Develop automated reports using Visualization tools.
Contribute to various stages of analytics, model deployment and model maintenance.
About You Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognized university in data engineering, data visualization, petroleum engineer, chemical engineer or computer graphics design with minimum GPA of 7.5
Minimum 3 years of work experience in Data analytics and visualization in the upstream oil and gas industry.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate critical design & operating parameters through data and trend analysis.
Experience in creating visualizations on Spotfire/Power BI is preferred.
Experience in data extractions from different kinds of database like common O&G database, SQL server, oracle server etc.
Data Modelling for variety of data including real time data. Knowledge of Databricks and GitHub is preferred.
Knowledge of SQL and Python (PySpark) programming is preferred.
Experience preferred in well design, well performance monitoring, troubleshooting, or optimization of well performance and well management preferred
Experience in data collation preferred
Experience in programming languages such as Java will be an advantage

Strong communication skills
Ability to cooperate effectively in a team environment
Flexibility to work in shifts, with opportunities to leverage flexible work hours
Position is Bangalore-based with potential for international travel
