Botsync is Asias leading robotics solutions provider, automating enterprise supply chains since 2017. Were a Singapore-based robotics and automation company building autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and intelligent orchestration software that transform warehouse and factory operations across APAC. We design, manufacture, and deploy intelligent robots, including our MAG series, that handle material movement at scale so humans can focus on higher-value work.
As Botsync scales deployments, expands internationally, and prepares for Series-B fundraising, this role builds and owns the companys financial, accounting, legal, and investor-facing backbone. Twelve months in, success looks like clean, audit-ready financials across all entities with strong cash runway visibility and improved working capital cycles, smooth execution of Series-B fundraising and investor diligence, a robust legal and compliance framework with minimal founder dependency, and a finance function built to scale with Botsyncs global ambitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial strategy and leadership
Own Botsync’s financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
Build and maintain multi-entity, multi-country financial models across hardware, software, and services
Provide the CEO and Board with clear financial insights, unit economics, and cash runway visibility
Drive capital efficiency, margin improvement, and working capital optimization
Accounting, controls and compliance
Own end-to-end accounting operations across all entities (Singapore, India, Australia, and others), ensuring monthly, quarterly, and annual closes are accurate and on time
Manage statutory audits, tax filings, GST/VAT, transfer pricing, and regulatory compliance
Establish and maintain strong internal controls, approval matrices, and financial SOPs and reporting automation
Legal, governance and fundraising
Act as the internal owner of all legal and corporate matters, coordinating with external counsel on shareholder agreements, ESOPs, customer contracts, and vendor agreements
Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, cross-border regulations, and board governance; support board meetings, resolutions, cap tables, and statutory filings
Lead financial preparation for Series-B and future fundraising rounds, owning investor data rooms, financial models, projections, and due diligence coordination
Work with the CEO on investor conversations, term sheet analysis and negotiation, cap table and dilution planning, and act as a key point of contact for existing investors, VCs, and strategic partners
Banking, treasury and team building
Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions; structure and negotiate working capital lines, bank guarantees, trade finance, LC facilities, and FX hedging
Own cash management, treasury operations, and risk mitigation, including monitoring currency exposure across multi-country operations
Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team, mentoring finance managers across regions
Implement scalable processes suitable for enterprise customers and global audits, and act as a trusted finance partner to Sales, Operations, and Product teams
Essential
10–15+ years in finance leadership roles, ideally within VC-backed startups or hardware + SaaS / deep-tech / industrial companies
Proven ownership of company-wide finance and accounting across multi-entity, multi-country operations
Direct experience leading fundraising and investor interactions, including Series-A / Series-B rounds
Strong understanding of revenue recognition for hardware, software, and services, working-capital-heavy business models, and cross-border taxation and compliance
CA / CPA / CFA or equivalent qualification
Highly desirable
Experience setting up ESOPs, share buy-backs, and vesting frameworks, and exposure to manufacturing, robotics, or industrial automation
