As a US Payroll - Sr Associate, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial records, analyzing data, and assisting in compliance with accounting standards. Your contributions will be crucial in providing accurate financial information and insights to support decision-making within our Finance practice. As a Senior Associate, you will focus on building meaningful client connections and learning how to manage and inspire others. You will navigate increasingly complex situations, growing your personal brand and enhancing your skills. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, delivering quality work while embracing ambiguity and using these moments as opportunities for growth.
In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will leverage your skills to provide financial advice and strategic guidance, helping clients optimize their financial performance and make informed business decisions. You will handle financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management, contributing to the broader objectives of your projects and the overall strategy. Your ability to interpret data and inform insights will be key in maintaining professional and technical standards, reinforcing the firms code of conduct and independence requirements.
Responsibilities
- Managing financial records and analyzing data to support compliance with accounting standards
- Providing strategic guidance to clients to optimize their financial performance and inform business decisions
- Conducting financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management to deliver accurate insights
- Utilizing accounting and financial reporting standards to enhance decision-making processes
- Applying analytical thinking to interpret data and generate actionable recommendations
- Developing a deeper understanding of business context and adapting strategies to changing environments
- Upholding professional and technical standards in alignment with PwCs code of conduct and independence requirements
- Building meaningful client connections and anticipating the needs of teams and clients
- Navigating complex situations to grow personal brand and deepen technical skills
- Using critical thinking to break down complex concepts and solve problems effectively
What You Must Have
- Minimum graduate
- At least 4-9 years of experience
What Sets You Apart
- Utilizing accounting and financial reporting standards in complex scenarios
- Applying analytical thinking to interpret financial data and inform decisions
- Navigating ambiguity while maintaining professional and technical standards
- Building meaningful client relationships and anticipating their needs
- Developing a deeper understanding of business context and strategy
- Being resourceful and creative problem solver - constructively working independently and with team members to find solutions; utilizing the Firms standard suite of work solutions, such as SAP R3, Google Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Business Warehouse, Oracle, etc.
- Understanding multi-state taxation, tax payments/deposits, and year end reporting (W-2, W-2c, etc) as well as federal and state regulations;
- Understanding daily payroll department operations and industry leading practices; and,
- Accurately analyzing and reconciling payroll activity, identifying possible issues, making recommendations, and supporting conclusions;
- Working knowledge of ADP and/or Workday and able to assist in maintaining vendor relationship;
