Job Description

The Lift Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. They troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, perform routine maintenance, and comply with safety regulations. Strong technical skills and adherence to safety standards are essential for this role.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Install new elevator and escalator systems, including electrical wiring, mechanical components, and control systems programming.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on lifts and escalators to ensure operational safety and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests, including freeing trapped passengers if necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of all inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs performed.
• Conduct safety audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

• Stay updated on technological advancements, new equipment, and regulatory changes within the lift manufacturing and maintenance industry.
• Interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics related to elevator systems.

• Occasionally work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions.
