Senior Test Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer with 4-7 years of experience in manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing frameworks such as Selenium and Playwright, with a focus on ensuring the quality and performance of our applications. This role requires expertise in accessibility testing, API testing, and performance testing, along with excellent communication skills to report daily status updates to the lead and manager.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases using Selenium and Playwright.
• Conduct accessibility testing to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Perform API testing to validate the functionality and performance of backend services.
• Execute performance testing to assess application responsiveness and stability under load.
• Identify, document, and track defects in the application, ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software.
• Report daily status updates to the lead and manager, highlighting progress and any blockers.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
  
  

• 4-7 years of experience in manual and automation testing.
• Proficiency in automation testing tools, specifically Playwright (deal breaker skill).
• Strong experience with Selenium for web application testing.
• Hands-on experience in accessibility testing.
• Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or similar.
• Good understanding of performance testing methodologies.
• Proficient in Java programming language.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  
  

• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
• Experience with test management tools like JIRA or TestRail.
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
