Job Description:

Techno-Functional BA

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

1. Finance Domain & Business Analysis

• Strong understanding of Financial Accounting, Management Reporting, and end-to-end Finance processes.
• Experience working with Finance SMEs and Operations teams to understand business requirements, data flows, mappings, allocations, and reporting calculations.
• Ability to define, document, and validate business rules, transformation logic, and functional requirements.
• Experience in requirements gathering, impact analysis, and stakeholder management.

1. Data Analysis & Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on SQL and PL/SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery, for data analysis and validation.
• Experience with source-to-target mappings, data transformation, data quality checks, and root-cause analysis.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and legacy-to-cloud data migration.
• Python knowledge would be an added advantage.

1. UAT & Functional Validation

• Hands-on experience in preparing UAT test scenarios, test cases, and expected results.
• Ability to independently execute UAT and validate business rules, mappings, allocations, and financial reporting calculations.
• Experience in data reconciliation, defect identification, tracking, retesting, and coordination with Technology and Fin Ops teams.
• Ability to support UAT sign-off and ensure business requirements are met.

1. Banking Experience, Agile & Delivery Expectations

• Prior HSBC Finance systems/FCD experience would be preferred; relevant Finance transformation experience in other global banks can also be considered.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum framework, sprint planning, backlog management, user story creation, acceptance criteria, and participation in Agile ceremonies.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver requirements within sprint timelines.
• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be hands-on, proactive, adaptable, and capable of independently managing multiple deliverables with minimal supervision.
