Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to support cost projections, forecasting, and strategic decision-making for oil & gas, energy transition, and decarbonization projects. The role involves developing cost models, analyzing project and market data, and providing actionable insights to support project development and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Intelligence & Cost Projections

• Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions for CAPEX/OPEX forecasting and project performance monitoring.
•  Perform cost modeling, benchmarking, and forecasting for upstream, midstream, downstream, LNG, and energy transition projects.
• Support project controls and management teams with data-driven insights and scenario analysis.

Technology Assessment & Screening

• Analyze technical, operational, and economic data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Perform sensitivity studies, trend analysis, and business case evaluations.
• Collaborate with process, mechanical, electrical, and project engineering teams to validate assumptions and findings.

• Reporting & Knowledge Sharing
• Prepare cost projection reports, executive summaries, and strategic recommendations.
• Develop knowledge repositories, lessons learned databases, and cost intelligence reports.
• Present findings to stakeholders, project teams, and leadership teams.
• Prepare concise technology assessment reports and recommendations.
• Present findings to engineering, R&D, and management teams.
• Support strategic technology roadmaps and innovation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Energy Systems, or related discipline.
• Experience in Business Intelligence, Project Analytics, Cost Estimation, or Oil & Gas Engineering.
• Experience in cost estimation, project economics, and performance analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Interest in energy transition and emerging technologies.

·       Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, Advanced Excel, Power Query

·       Knowledge of SAP, Primavera P6, ERP systems, and data management platforms.

·       Understanding of oil & gas processes, LNG, refining, petrochemicals, hydrogen, CCUS, and renewable energy technologies.

·       Familiarity with benchmarking methodologies, forecasting techniques, and market intelligence.

·       Exposure to AI/ML, predictive analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.
