About your team

Within the Middleware team we support a variety of applications from file transfer to messaging and more across the UK, India and Asia Pacific.

About your role
The primary purpose of this role is to deliver development, support, and guidance for IBM MQ and IBM App Connect within the Middleware team. The successful candidate will work closely with the IBM MQ and ACE product owners, providing centralised support and driving solution development across end-to-end messaging processes. This approach will enable the Middleware team to offer a flexible, responsive platform that effectively supports all application development teams.

About you

We are looking for someone who brings in-depth knowledge of IBM MQ and strong proficiency in IBM App Connect Enterprise, enabling the design and delivery of secure, scalable messaging solutions within a Middleware environment.

Key skills and experience include:

• Experience with RHEL and Windows platforms
• Experience working with Oracle SQL
• Monitoring and log analysis expertise
• Design and coding capability, particularly in Python and Java
• Solid understanding of encryption and data protection principles
• Exposure to Kubernetes and Ansible-based automation
