Job Description :

Responsible for defining and governing the overall technical architecture for the retail platform, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions across applications, data, integrations, and cloud environments. Acts as the key technical authority guiding design, development, and integration decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

• Define end-to-end architecture across digital, store systems (POS), data platforms, and integrations
• Design scalable and modular solutions aligned with business and technology strategy
• Establish architecture principles, standards, and best practices
• Review and approve solution designs, data models, and integration patterns
  
  

Integration & Data Architecture

• Define API-first and event-driven architecture patterns
• Oversee integrations across eCommerce, POS, PIM, ERP, WMS, and analytics platforms
• Ensure data consistency, governance, and flow across systems
• Guide ETL, data warehousing, and real-time data integration strategies
  
  

Cloud & Platform Engineering

• Lead architecture for cloud-native solutions (AWS preferred)
• Define usage of services such as API Gateway, Lambda, SQS/SNS, Step Functions, Redshift, S3
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance optimization
• Guide DevOps, CI/CD, and environment strategy
  
  

Development Governance

• Provide technical leadership to development teams across multiple workstreams
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical walkthroughs
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and architectural guidelines
• Drive reusability, modularization, and technical debt management
  
  

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams
• Translate business requirements into technical architecture and solution blueprints
• Support effort estimation, solution planning, and technical risk assessment
  
  

Quality, Security & Performance

• Ensure non-functional requirements (NFRs) are addressed (performance, scalability, security)
• Define monitoring, logging, and observability strategies
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and bottlenecks
  
  

Required Skills

• 10–15+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture and design
• Strong experience in retail or eCommerce ecosystems
• Deep understanding of: Microservices and API-led architecture Event-driven systems Data architecture and data warehousing concepts
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Strong knowledge of integration technologies (API, middleware, EDI)
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency in multiple technology stacks (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.)
• Strong understanding of security, scalability, and performance engineering
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with analytics ecosystems (Power BI, Qlik, Superset)
• Exposure to PIM, POS, and omnichannel retail platforms
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, etc.)
• Experience with data governance and master data management

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to bridge business and technology effectively
• Experience working in Agile and hybrid delivery models
