Our Recruiters work in a fast-paced, high volume recruiting organization. Each plays an important role in managing recruiting activities and building candidate relationships -often providing candidates with their first impression of Amazon. The ideal person will be an organizational guru, work effectively with internal and external clients and candidates, possess great communication skills, have the ability to shift gears at a moments notice and enjoy the challenges of helping to build a great organization of talented individuals. The recruiter for the Operations vertical would be responsible towards delivering the critical hiring demand from the India operations business to support Amazons aggressive growth plans. The incumbent will partner with business leaders to identify and strategize their short term and long term hiring needs. They will build effective candidate generation and sourcing strategies for volume hiring as well as niche positions, while ensuring great candidate experience. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated innovation, strategy and should be able to resolve complex business problems.

Key job responsibilities

Partner with hiring teams to build effective strategies for meeting business hiring needs.

• Ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of return on investment.
• Be able to recruit active/passive candidates, gauge for fitment and understand their motivation" rather than sell a role.
• Possess strong ability to screen/interview candidates within the framework of the position specifications and prepare an ideal candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline.
• Build and maintain network of potential candidates through pro-active market research and on-going relationship management; conducts in-depth interviews of potential candidates, demonstrating ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences through high offer-to-interview ratios.
• Communicate effectively with the hiring manager and interview team to ensure preparedness during the interview process. Share and exchange information with all levels of management.
• Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine-tuning standard processes for recruiting that fits within Amazons mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer.
• Provide a great candidate experience and act as a candidate advocate.
• Articulate in writing a plan with deliverable, timelines and a formal tracking process.
• Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, and identification of top performers for senior-level openings.
  
  

A day in the life

• Proven ability and sharp on the feet to proactively source passive candidates using Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, X-ray search/ Open web and other sourcing channels for remote sites.
• Experience in conducting candidate outreach and engagement to build interest and assess right fit, with ability to filter the right candidates during recruiter phone screen.
  
  

About The Team

The role holder will be a part of Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) team, which is a central sourcing team for WW Amazon Talent Acquisition (ATA) team. We scout bar raising talent spanning across Americas (NA, LATAM), Europe, AMET and India, to enable and scale cost-efficient sourcing solutions in Tech, Non-Tech and High volume space.

Basic Qualifications

• - Bachelors degree
• - Experience building and driving talent sourcing initiatives and pipelines
• - Experience in progressive corporate or search firm recruiting with a focus on passive engineering candidate generation in a high-tech market
• - - 2+ years of passive candidate generation experience
• - - Experience in conducting candidate outreach and engagement to build interest and assess right fit, with ability to filter the right candidates during recruiter phone screen.
• - - Boolean and Advanced Search
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• - - Bachelors or associate degree in Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Facilities Management or related technical field.
• - - Prior experience sourcing for AWS, hyperscale cloud, or co-location Data Center environment.
• - - - Experience in any 1 or 2 Tech hiring domain will be an added advantage 1. Experience of hiring Full stack, Back-end and Front-end engineers, 2. Data Analytics including Data Scientist (AI/ML) and Engineers, 3. Understanding of any 2-3 Programming languages or key tech stacks like Python, Java, SQL, ETL, data pipelines, Hadoop, Spark, Big Data, or similar technical landscape
