Team Lead Electrical Engineering (m/f/d) – Local Coils for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

To strengthen our global Local Coil development organization, we are looking for an experienced Team Lead Electrical Engineering. In this role, you will take technical leadership of an interdisciplinary team consisting of Electrical Engineers and Mechanical Engineers, with a focus on electrical development topics. You will drive sustaining, verification, and continuous improvement activities for local RF coils used in MR systems across the entire product lifecycle

Your Responsibilities

  • Technical and disciplinary leadership of an interdisciplinary development team with a strong focus on Electrical Engineering
  • Overall technical responsibility for electrical aspects of local RF coils, including PCB design, EMC, electromagnetic fields, and system integration
  • Planning, steering, and prioritization of sustaining, change, and improvement activities across electrical and mechanical disciplines
  • Coordination and execution of verification and validation activities for design changes
  • Technical decision-making related to regulatory requirements (e.g. RoHS), component obsolescence, and quality improvements
  • Support of complaint handling as well as root cause and failure analysis
  • Close collaboration with Product Owners, system teams, production, supply chain within our global R&D team
  • Ensuring achievement of project targets with respect to schedule, cost, and quality within your area of responsibility
  • Application of agile development methods and continuous development of team collaboration and technical excellence
  • Willingness to travel occasionally on short-term business trips, particularly to Germany and China

Your Qualifications And Experience

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a focus on radio-frequency engineering
  • Several years of professional experience in electronic hardware development, preferably in the MRI or medical technology environment
  • Strong expertise in EMC, electromagnetic fields, PCB development, and interfaces between electrical and mechanical systems
  • Basic understanding of mechanical development aspects (e.g. design engineering, materials, modular design concepts) and the ability to lead interdisciplinary teams effectively
  • Initial experience in a technical leadership or people leadership role, combined with strong communication and coaching skills
  • Structured and analytical working style, with a high level of team orientation in an international environment
  • Knowledge of MR physics or hands-on experience operating an MR scanner is considered an advantage
