What You’ll Do
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor Data Scientists and AI Engineers
- Conduct performance reviews and create development plans
- Foster innovation and technical excellence culture
- Recruit and onboard team members
Technical Strategy & Delivery
- Define technical roadmaps for AI initiatives
- Oversee AI platform reliability, scalability, and observability
- Govern responsible deployment and operations of generative AI services in production
- Manage cloud-based AI infrastructure (Azure OpenAI, AKS, Azure ML) including cost governance, scaling, and security posture
Collaboration & Project Management
- Partner with Global Data & AI teams
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects from concept to production
- Implement agile methodologies for diverse project types
Innovation & Technology
- Stay current with AI platform trends: agentic systems, LLMOps, responsible AI governance, and cloud-native AI services
What We Are Looking For
Leadership & People Development
- Experience in Senior-level role mentoring and guiding either Software Engineers, Data Scientists and AI Engineers
- Strong passion for team building, talent development, and creating collaborative environments
- Experience designing technical solutions and establishing project plans to accomplish technical plans
- Outstanding communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Technical Leadership
- 8+ years in cloud platform engineering, AI/ML Ops, or infrastructure for AI workloads
- Experience leading teams delivering AI/ML platforms and cloud-native solutions
- Hands-on experience building solutions with generative AI technologies
Experience
8 to 12 Years
Required Skills
- Hands-on cloud platform engineering experience in Microsoft Azure (Azure required — AKS, Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry)
- Production-grade Kubernetes platform engineering experience (AKS (Preferred) or GKE or other managed Kubernetes platforms)
- Expertise in Kubernetes cluster operations (networking, ingress, autoscaling, upgrades, troubleshooting, security policies, RBAC)
- Containerization experience using Docker and orchestration best practices
- Experience designing scalable, resilient cloud architectures (high availability, scalability, resiliency, cost optimization)
- Experience designing secure network architectures (VNets, subnets, NSGs, private endpoints, load balancers, DNS)
- CI/CD for platform and AI/ML workloads (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Infrastructure as Code — Terraform (Preferred)/Bicep
- Secret management and identity — Azure Key Vault, Workload Identity / Managed Identities, HashiVault (Optional)
- Monitoring and observability for platform and AI services (Azure Monitor, App Insights, ELK Stack, Prometheus)
Preferred Skills (Nice To Have But Not Mandatory)
- Application Development & Data Platforms
- Generative AI and prompt engineering (RAG pipelines, LLM orchestration)
- Big data technologies (Azure Synapse, Spark, Databricks)
- Familiarity with API-driven architectures and SQL/NoSQL data stores
- Multi-cloud exposure (GCP, AWS)
- Experience building internal developer platforms / self-service platforms
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related STEM discipline is required.
