Job Title: HRT – PYP (Homeroom Teacher)

Location: OAKRIDGE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, BANGALORE

Job Summary

The PYP Homeroom Teacher is responsible for delivering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) through inquiry-based learning, creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment, and supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. The teacher collaborates with colleagues and parents to ensure holistic student growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging IB PYP lessons.
  • Foster inquiry-based and student-centered learning.
  • Assess, monitor, and report student progress.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leadership.
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and IB initiatives.
  • Uphold safeguarding, wellbeing, and school policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Education or relevant subject.
  • Experience in IB PYP or an international school is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills.
