Job Description

SME – Supply Chain Management (CPRS)

Location: Chennai/Bangalore/Coimbatore

Experience: 12+ Years

• In this role, you will:
• Lead demand planning and forecasting processes across product categories and business units.Analyze sales trends, promotions, seasonality, and market demand signals to improve forecast accuracy.
• Collaborate with merchandising, sales, marketing, and finance teams to align supply chain plans with business objectives.
• Establish inventory management strategies, safety stock policies, and replenishment frameworks to optimize inventory performance.
• Drive inventory optimization initiatives to reduce excess inventory, improve turnover, and enhance product availability.
• Support supplier collaboration programs, sourcing strategies, and supply assurance initiatives.
• Evaluate supplier performance, service levels, lead times, and quality metrics while mitigating supply risks.
• Optimize omnichannel supply chain operations including Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS), Ship from Store, Direct-to-Consumer (D2C), and Store Replenishment models.
• Enhance inventory visibility and product flow across retail stores, warehouses, fulfillment centers, and digital channels.
• Improve warehouse and distribution center operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and returns management.
• Drive transportation and logistics optimization initiatives focused on freight management, network efficiency, and last-mile delivery.
• Ensure timely and accurate customer order fulfillment while improving service levels and reducing operational inefficiencies.
• Develop and monitor supply chain KPIs, dashboards, and business performance metrics.
• Perform operational analysis and deliver business insights using advanced analytics and reporting tools. Lead digital supply chain transformation initiatives involving ERP, WMS, TMS, OMS, and planning solutions. Identify opportunities for automation using Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and advanced analytics technologies.
• Drive Lean, Continuous Improvement, and operational excellence programs across supply chain functions.
• Standardize supply chain processes, governance frameworks, and best practices across business units.
• Partner with technology, operations, retail, logistics, and consulting teams to deliver scalable business solutions.
  
  

Your Profile:

• 15+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management within Consumer Products, Retail, E-Commerce, Consumer Goods, Distribution, or Services industries.
• Strong expertise across end-to-end supply chain functions including planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, fulfillment, and customer service.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale retail, omnichannel, or e-commerce supply chain operations.
• Deep understanding of demand forecasting, replenishment planning, inventory optimization, and supplier collaboration processes.
• Experience leading supply chain transformation and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and business consulting skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline.,Master's Degree or MBA preferred.
