Job Description

R&D Parts Procurement (Prototype / NPI)

Source low-volume, high-mix components:

Electrical: PCBAs, semiconductors, connectors, cable harness
Mechanical: CNC parts, sheet metal, plastics, 3D prints

Handle frequent design revisions and quick re-orders
Identify quick-turn / development-focused suppliers
Ensure short lead-time sourcing

2. R&D Equipment & Lab Procurement

Procure engineering and lab equipment, such as:

Test & measurement (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal cameras)
Environmental test chambers
Assembly tools, jigs, fixtures

Manage:

Technical evaluation with R&D team
Vendor comparison (spec vs cost)
Installation & commissioning coordination

Handle AMC / calibration / service contracts

RFQ & Technical Evaluation

Float RFQs with clear:

Technical specifications
Testing requirements

Compare offers on:

Performance
Compliance
Total cost of ownership (TCO)

Work with R&D to finalize techno-commercial decisions
