Requirements

Job Related Experience

  • 10-20 years of experience in Tendering, Bidding, Proposal Management, Pre-Sales, Estimation, or Commercial functions for Data Center Infrastructure Projects.
  • Experience of Data Center projects, including hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and mission-critical facilities.
  • Proven track record of leading large and complex techno-commercial bids for Data Centers and critical infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of Data Center standards, uptime requirements, redundancy concepts, and critical facility operations.
  • Extensive experience in customer engagement, bid strategy development, commercial evaluation, risk assessment, contract review, and negotiations.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams comprising engineering, operations, procurement, legal, finance, and sales functions.
  • Expertise in driving bid reviews, executive approvals, risk mitigation strategies, resource planning, and decision-making throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
  • Proven capability to influence senior management, customers, consultants, and partners to achieve successful business outcomes.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent strategic pursuits while ensuring governance compliance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Business Understanding

  • Knowledge of UPS, MV Switchgears, LV Switchgears, Transformers, Racks, Chillers, CRAH, CRAC, FWU, Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS), and DCIM.
  • Understanding of Data Center design philosophies including Tier III and Tier IV infrastructure, redundancy concepts, uptime requirements, energy efficiency, and mission-critical operations.
  • Deep understanding of tendering processes, bid governance, contract management, commercial terms and conditions, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of local statutory regulations, international standards, and customer procurement processes applicable to Data Center and critical infrastructure projects.

Others (Language Skills, Technical Skills)

  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • High level of commercial and financial acumen with experience in pricing strategies and profitability management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and proposal management tools.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to engage and influence customers, consultants, PMC teams, and senior leadership stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented with a strong ownership mindset and ability to manage multiple strategic opportunities under tight timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical discipline). MBA or Postgraduate qualification in Business Management will be an added advantage.
  • 10 to 20 years’ experience in large‑scale cost estimating in MEP, especially for Data centers.
  • Strong experience managing complex RFP responses involving multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent bids under tight deadlines.
  • Strong coordination, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations involving tight timelines and proposal submission deadlines.
  • Strong client-facing, communication, and negotiation skills.
