The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Senior Software Developer with specialized expertise in Java, Python, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and experience leveraging GitHub Copilot, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge software solutions. You will play an instrumental role in building intelligent applications, integrating advanced AI capabilities, and driving efficiency throughout the software development lifecycle. This position is ideal for someone passionate about programming, excited by emerging technologies, and eager to shape the future of AI-driven products.

Here, You Will Make An Impact By

• Architect, build and maintain robust, scalable applications using Java and Python. Work across the full stack—backend, frontend, and cloud—to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
• Develop, fine-tune, and integrate Large Language Models into products and workflows. Implement AI-driven features using popular frameworks and libraries.
• Employ GitHub Copilot to accelerate coding tasks, automate boilerplate, and enhance code quality. Share best practices on AI-assisted development and actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lead a team of Software Engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams—including product managers, designers, and other engineers—to define project requirements and deliverables. Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Analyze complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions. Use AI-based approaches where applicable to drive higher efficiency and smarter outcomes.
• Ensure software reliability, maintainability, and security by adhering to best practices.
• Produce clear, concise documentation for codebases, APIs, and AI models. Maintain technical records and update knowledge bases for future reference and onboarding.
  
  

Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND a minimum of (9) years of experience in Software Development
• High School Diploma/GED from AND a minimum of (12) years of experience in Software Development
• (8+) years experience developing software using object-oriented principles with
• Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, etc.)
• Proficiency in Angular or similar technologies.
• Proficiency in Git, GitHub, GitHub Copilot
• Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL databases
• Proficiency Python
• Experience in CI/CD Tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• API Technologies (REST, GraphQL)
  

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience in AWS, Azure or Google cloud
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to solve problems in a logical, methodical, and time efficient manner
• Solid understanding of AI concepts, algorithms, and frameworks. Hands-on experience with Large Language Models, Agentic AI, and deployment.
• Experience working with data pipelines, ETL processes, and big data technologies.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to collaborate with design teams for seamless integration.
