Position Summary
Experience Level: 8-12 years
About the Role: We are looking for a Infrastructure Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of complex IT initiatives. Unlike a generalist Project Manager who focuses solely on timelines and budgets, this role is dedicated to technical feasibility and operational stability. You will act as the critical bridge between our business stakeholders and our engineering teams, ensuring that solutions are not only delivered on time but are architecturally sound and ready for production.
A key part of your mission will be to eliminate the "gap" between project completion and operational handover. You will ensure that "Done" doesn't just mean the code is written, but that the solution is documented, tested, and transitioned into the live environment without disrupting existing services.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Delivery Management: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of technical projects, translating high-level business requirements into detailed technical tasks and actionable roadmaps.
Technical Liaison & Translation: Act as the primary interface between non-technical stakeholders and engineers. You will translate complex technical constraints into business risks and business goals into technical specifications.
Risk & Dependency Mapping: Proactively identify technical blockers and cross-team dependencies. You will be responsible for spotting "hidden" risks—such as integration gaps or scalability issues—before they impact the critical path.
Service Transition & Governance: Oversee the move from "Project" to "Operations." This includes managing the Change Advisory Board (CAB) process, ensuring rollback plans are viable, and verifying that the support team is equipped to manage the new service.
Resource & Velocity Optimization: Manage the allocation of technical resources across multiple workstreams, balancing the need for speed with the need for quality to avoid creating excessive technical debt.
Documentation Oversight: Ensure that every project concludes with high-quality technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, SOPs, and runbooks, ensuring a seamless handover to the Ops team.
Required Technical Experience:
Hybrid Methodology: Proven experience managing projects using both Agile (Scrum/Kanban) for development and Waterfall for infrastructure/hardware deployments.
ITIL Framework: Deep understanding of Service Transition and Change Management principles to ensure production stability during deployments.
Technical Literacy: While you aren't required to code, you must have a solid grasp of modern IT landscapes (e.g., Cloud architecture, API integrations, Virtualization, and Database fundamentals) to challenge technical estimates.
Project Tooling: Mastery of professional tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Confluence, including the ability to build custom dashboards for stakeholder reporting.
Professional Profile:
The "Technical Translator": You possess the rare ability to discuss API latency with a developer in one meeting and then explain the business impact of that latency to a Director in the next.
The Stability Guardian: You have a "production-first" mindset. You are the person who asks, "How do we support this at 3 AM?" rather than just "When will it be finished?"
The Pragmatic Planner: You know how to distinguish between "Gold-Plating" (unnecessary perfection) and "Minimum Viable Product" (MVP) to keep projects moving forward without sacrificing quality.
Qualifications:
At least 5-8 years of experience in Infrastructure Delivery Manager or a similar lead technical role.
Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or CSM (Certified Scrum Master). ITIL v3/v4 certification is highly preferred.
Experience managing infrastructure or software deployments in high-availability, enterprise-scale environments.
