About the Role:

As a Software Engineer on the AI/ML Platform team, your primary objective is to build scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that power our global measurement products. You will work within an Agile environment to test, develop, and implement quality software, contributing to Nielsens strategic shift toward modern ML-driven infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend services and reusable components using Python and Java.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to integrate sophisticated methodologies into production build pipelines.
• Implement and optimize AI/ML systems to process large-scale audience data across Cloud and on-premises environments.
• Identify and resolve technical incidents to ensure high availability and low latency for AI services.
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, or Engineering,
• Strong proficiency in Python and Java programming languages.
• Core software engineering excellence, including knowledge of SQL, data structures, and Agile methodologies.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure like AWS or Google Cloud or Azure.
• Experience with MLOps or Data Engineering (e.g., Airflow, SageMaker, Spark, or CI/CD pipelines) is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and deliver scalable systems.
