Job Description

We are looking for quality-driven Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET) to help build scalable, reliable, and customer-focused software systems. You will work across frontend, backend, and distributed systems, contributing to test automation, quality strategy, and release confidence. Depending on experience, you will operate as an individual contributor or take ownership of test strategy and frameworks.

Responsibilities

SDET (1-3 Years):

  • Design, write, and maintain automated test cases for web, backend, and APIs.
  • Execute functional, regression, and integration tests and report defects with clear reproduction steps.
  • Perform API testing and automation to validate service interactions.
  • Work closely with developers to understand features, use cases, and edge cases.
  • Contribute to improving test coverage and test reliability
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines and ensure test execution stability.
  • Debug issues across services with guidance from senior team members.

Senior SDET (3-6 Years)

  • Own and drive test automation strategy across frontend, backend, and distributed systems.
  • Build, enhance, and scale automation frameworks with long-term maintainability in mind.
  • Lead test design, reviews, and quality sign-off for product releases.
  • Collaborate with product, business, and engineering teams to identify risks early.
  • Champion quality best practices, customer experience validation, and shift-left testing.
  • Actively monitor production-quality risks and provide inputs to improve reliability.
  • Mentor junior SDETs and contribute to tooling and productivity improvements.

Requirements

  • 1-6 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
  • Golang (preferred); Java candidates must be willing to pick up Golang.
  • Strong experience with Playwright (frontend automation).
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium.
  • Strong understanding of backend automation concepts.
  • Experience with API testing and automation (Rest Assured / equivalent tools).
  • Good understanding of API terminology and service interactions.
  • Experience working with distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
  • Experience or working knowledge of Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Ability to debug issues across multiple services and environments.
  • Familiarity with Linux / Ubuntu environments.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Ability to enhance or modify frameworks based on future needs.
  • Interest in exploring new testing tools and improving existing processes.
