Job Description

The Proxy Product Owner is a key member of our Agile Squad, responsible for turning business requirements into actionable user stories. They work closely with the Product Owner and Finance stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely management reporting. This role involves supporting automation initiatives, improving reporting processes, and contributing to profitability reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of banking finance and management reporting, with experience in report automation and data workflows.

  • Translate business requirements into well-structured user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Validate reports and analytical outputs, flagging errors for review.
  • Support automation agenda by identifying manual process improvements.
  • Write improvement stories for automated reporting processes.
  • Build working knowledge of funds transfer pricing and margin concepts.
  • Prepare test cases and validate profitability reporting outputs.
  • Manage day-to-day backlog, ensuring stories are refined and ready for sprint planning.
  • Stay on top of dependencies with cross-functional teams to maintain delivery pace.
  • Raise practical suggestions for squad process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with the Banks governance, control, and data traceability standards.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Technology, Finance, or related field.
  • Up to 8 years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Ownership, or Agile delivery.
  • Practical experience as a Proxy Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of banking finance and management reporting.
  • Experience with report automation, data workflows, and system improvements.
  • Developing knowledge of profitability concepts and funds transfer pricing.
  • Basic awareness of AI and machine learning applications in finance.
  • Familiarity with finance platforms like OFSAA or BI tools is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking, with ability to manage priorities.
