Job Description

Designation : Electrical Engineer

Location : Bengaluru, Karnataka

Desired Profile

• Diploma/ BE/B.Tech in Printing technology/ Electrical Engineering is preferrable.
• Relevant work experience of 8 to 12 years in Graphic Art Industry especially in servicing of Printing equipment
• A very good knowledge of offset/sheetfed/large format printing machineries candidates are preferred.
• Excellent business communication in English is mandatory.
• Candidates based out of Bengaluru is preferred.
• Willing to travel extensively.
• Deliver high level of technical service and support to both internal and external customers in installations and servicing of equipment as per the guidelines of Heidelberg Customer Service Department.
• Support sales operation in respect to field technical issues, customer complaints and sales opportunities including 2S sales for the region.
• Develop customer support standards by ensuring first time fix of service issues, improved customer response time and efficiently manage overall service operational cost of the region.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

 Demonstrate a strong ability to comprehend project requirements and offer technical solutions in accordance with industry standards and company guidelines.

 Analyze the features and specifications of electrical machinery and systems and install necessary applications to optimize their performance.

 Understand customers job requirements and efficiently configure application settings to meet their specific needs.

 Analyze the nature of service assignments and strive to close service calls with the least possible downtime, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

 Adhere to job scheduling and planning, ensuring projects are completed within specified timelines.

 Organize and utilize tools and gauges effectively to ensure the successful execution of projects while complying with corporate guidelines.

 Support and execute regular Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities as per the defined schedules.

 Continuously learn and adapt to different types of service assignments, ensuring efficient problem-solving and technical proficiency.

 Maintain proper usage of documentation throughout the service process, including preparing detailed service reports.

 Provide accurate recommendations for spare parts, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.

 Learn and follow recommended testing procedures to validate the quality and reliability of electrical systems.

 Submit comprehensive documentation of work performed, ensuring all project details are recorded accurately.

 Escalate service issues in a timely manner, regularly follow up with all relevant parties, and work towards logical conclusions for service-related challenges.

 Promote service contracts to customers, monitor machines under warranty, and proactively offer renewals for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs).

 Actively participate in knowledge sharing within the Service department to enhance collective expertise.

 Understand and apply cost control concepts within the scope of your activities, while taking ownership of company assets under your care.

 Gather valuable market information to contribute to decision-making and the improvement of services and products.
