About G2’s Intern Program

G2’s Intern Program is back for its 6th amazing summer! You’ll work closely with leaders and peers throughout the 10 weeks- focusing on making a real impact on G2, with a final presentation about your work to our Executive & Senior Leadership Teams. We’ve packed the summer full of professional development and social events to lay the foundation for your career, ensuring you’ll have a balanced experience over the course of the 10 weeks.

About The Role

The Off-Page SEO team drives G2’s referral traffic, domain authority, and AI-driven discoverability across our core page types. We focus on strengthening G2’s web presence through high-quality backlinks, strategic content partnerships, community engagement, and scalable distribution programs that increase brand authority and long-term organic growth.

As an Off-Page SEO/AEO Intern, you will work on real, clearly defined projects that directly support the team’s priorities and OKRs. This is not a research or shadowing role. You will contribute to live initiatives, collaborate with experienced leaders and peers, and gain hands-on exposure to how enterprise SEO operates at scale, across traditional search and emerging AI-driven discovery platforms. By the end of the program, you will have practical experience in authority building, content promotion, and modern search visibility.

As a member of Off-page SEO/AEO team this summer, you’ll focus on:

• Research relevant websites, publications, and partners for backlink opportunities.
• Build outreach lists for target pages, personalization under guidance from senior team members.
• Learn how backlink quality, relevance, and authority are evaluated.
• Monitor discussions on platforms on Reddit and SaaS communities to identify trending topics and insights.
• Summarize community conversations that can inform content ideas, PR angles, or SEO opportunities.
• Learn best practices for ethical, authentic engagement in online communities.
• Collaborate with Content SEO, Tech SEO, and Buyer Growth teams on shared projects.
• Participate in planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Learn how SEO, content, PR, and community signals work together to drive organic growth.
  
  

Requirements

• A rising Junior or Senior at an accredited college or university, preferably studying Marketing or Communication. looking for students who are currently pursuing graduation or masters
• Attention to detail and concern for accuracy. Strong collaboration/partnership opportunity mindset.
• Excellent email and task management skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively and independently, delivering on assigned tasks and responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
