Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master (5+ years) who goes beyond facilitating ceremonies and actively drives team productivity, removes blockers, and introduces automation wherever possible.

Key Responsibilities

Team Enablement & Delivery

Ensure the team consistently achieves sprint goals and maintains a high delivery velocity

Identify and proactively remove blockers impacting engineers

Work closely with engineers, product managers, and leadership to drive clarity and execution

Track progress, identify risks early, and ensure timely resolution

Process Optimization

Continuously improve Agile processes based on team needs (not dogma)

Ensure effective sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives

Introduce lightweight processes that enhance speed without adding unnecessary overhead

Automation & AI Adoption

Identify repetitive workflows and build automations to eliminate manual effort

Leverage AI tools (e.g., copilots, workflow automation tools, internal scripts) to improve productivity

Help engineers reduce “pacing” by optimizing workflows and removing friction

Drive adoption of AI across engineering and product workflows

Operational Excellence

Step in wherever needed — from coordinating releases to resolving cross-team dependencies

Bring structure to ambiguity and ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Maintain visibility into team health, workload, and bottlenecks

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a product/engineering team

Strong understanding of Agile principles, with a pragmatic approach

Proven track record of improving team productivity and delivery

Hands-on experience with automation tools (scripts, no-code/low-code tools, or APIs)

Strong familiarity with AI tools and willingness to experiment and implement them

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Highly proactive mindset with strong ownership

Good to Have

Technical background or prior experience as a developer/QA/DevOps

Experience working in fast-paced startup environments

Familiarity with tools like Jira, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and workflow automation tools

Experience with data-driven decision making (metrics, dashboards, etc.)
