Senior Solution Consultant IT

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP PLM Consultant to support and optimize Product Lifecycle Management processes in an automotive and manufacturing context. In this role, you work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and IT stakeholders to design, improve, and run robust, scalable SAP PLM solutions.

What you will do?

• You lead SAP PLM design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities across the solution lifecycle.
• You translate business needs into clear functional specifications and drive workshops to confirm scope, priorities, and outcomes.
• You support end-to-end product development processes including engineering change management, document management, BOM management, and variant configuration.
• You use the PLMSI component in S/4HANA to integrate external PLM data where applicable and ensure data quality across connected systems.
• You collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product data management and process efficiency, and you integrate SAP PLM with modules such as MM, PP, SD, and QM.
• You support data migration, system enhancements, and production issue resolution, and you create documentation, training material, and user guides.
• You also mentor junior colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Who are you?

You bring strong hands-on SAP PLM consulting experience and enjoy working close to the business to deliver practical outcomes. You understand engineering and product development ways of working and can explain complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are structured, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You take ownership, work independently when needed, and collaborate openly across teams and functions.Your experience and qualifications

• 8 to 10+ years of experience in SAP PLM consulting and/or implementation
• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP PLM configuration and core processes (BOM, document management, change management, material master integration)
• Experience integrating SAP PLM with SAP modules such as MM, PP, SD, and QM
• Experience in automotive and/or manufacturing environments; knowledge of relevant standards and best practices is an advantage
