Responsibilities

  • Design and develop backend services using C# and ASP.NET Core
  • Build and maintain secure RESTful APIs supporting imaging workflows
  • Implement real-time communication features using SignalR for:
  • Study/series loading status updates
  • Viewer synchronization
  • Notifications and workflow events
  • Develop business logic supporting study, series, and image metadata management
  • Integrate backend services with Blazor front-end applications
  • Design and optimize database structures (SQL Server)
  • Implement authentication and authorization (role-based access, JWT, identity systems)
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare security and data protection standards
  • Optimize performance for high-volume imaging data workflows
  • Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews
  • Support deployment and production troubleshooting

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional backend development experience
  • Strong proficiency in C# and ASP.NET Core
  • Experience building RESTful APIs
  • Hands-on experience with SignalR for real-time web applications
  • Experience with SQL Server, Postgres and Entity Framework
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and concurrency
  • Experience implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms
  • Familiarity with secure application development practices
  • Experience with Git and team-based workflows
  • Design and optimize database structures (SQL Server)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical imaging or healthcare applications
  • Familiarity with DICOM concepts (Study, Series, SOP Instances)
  • Experience integrating with PACS or imaging storage systems
  • Experience with AWS or cloud-hosted healthcare systems
  • Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and audit trails in regulated environments
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker)
