Senior Software Developer - Oracle Health

Job Description

This Position is bumped to IC4 level.

Responsibilities : -

Ownership Scope – As an Prrincipal SRD (IC4 Level), you will understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of the production services you own. In partnership with your Development partners, you will have the responsibility to ensure that services are designed and delivered to be mission critical with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. - Development – CI/CD, Microservices, DevOps, PL/SQL, Python are highly valued - Automation – You will have a clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles, and will be eager to automate, wherever and whenever the possibility arises, while simultaneously eliminating technical debt. Automation must be part of your DNA. - Broad Interests - SRDs are a rare mix of sysadmins and development Engineers, and as such have the ability to understand and explain the affect of product architecture decisions on the ability to run as distributed systems. They are driven by professional curiosity and a desire to a develop deep understanding of the their services and the technologies they depend upon. - Represent SRD - Proactive, self-motivated, customer-focused, organized, and a good communicator. SRDs can be expected to represent our team capabilities to other stakeholders. - Work collaboratively with multiple teams, actively participating in the execution of roadmap projects.

Must Have Skills/Experiences :

Automation/Coding : -

• Advanced scripting/coding skills (Python/Java, SQL/PLSQL and shell)
  
  
  

DevOps Skills :

• Orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Devops Tools including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring.
• Use of REST APIs ,JSON
  
  
  

Major Plus(Preferred)Skills :

Oracle Background : -

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (cloud architecture, cloud resources such as Relational Database(Oracle Preferred), compute,Network,storage etc.,)

• Oracle Database,Grid Infrastructure, ASM & RAC
• Oracle APEX
• Oracle Autonomous Database - Oracle Golden Gate
  
  
  

Preferred Skills :

• Site Reliability Engineering Skills: Design,Build,Automate and Troubleshooting Cloud Resources(Database,Network,Compute,Storage etc.,)
• Experience in Maximum Availability Architecture & Best Practices for Oracle Database & Exadata.
• Understanding of REST Architecture and JSON is a plus.
• Building and managing Linux OS systems with good understanding how the Linux kernel works (IO, Network, etc.) and ability to read and understand source code.
• Cloud Security knowledge/experience in IAM Policies, permissions etc.,
