Senior Oracle DBA

Job Description

As a Senior Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support and solutions to our customers, ensuring optimal database performance and availability. Your role will involve troubleshooting complex issues, implementing best practices, and staying updated with the latest Oracle technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical database issues, including performance bottlenecks, backup/recovery scenarios, and migration challenges.
• Implement and manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and DG Broker configurations.
• Utilize RMAN for efficient database backup and recovery processes.
• Monitor and optimize database performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager and other tools.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Perl, Python) and Ansible.
• Stay updated with Oracle engineered systems, such as Exadata, and Golden Gate replication.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless database operations.
• Document and communicate technical solutions and best practices.
• Maintain a strong understanding of OS administration, virtualization, and storage technologies.
