Senior Oracle DBA

We are looking for a motivated Oracle database administrator who will support multiple mission-critical production databases for Dassault Systemes online service BIOVIA Science Cloud . You will work with the team to deploy new changes and maintain existing databases. You will need the ability to solve problems that require innovative solutions. This position requires 24x7 on-call support, will require occasional weekend work, and working in early morning or late-night shifts and is based in Bengaluru, India. Unscheduled on-call work is not expected to be more than couple of times a month.

We are looking for people wo are eager to learn and existed to solve problem. As part of Cloud Operation team you will have full access to all the system and be responsible to solve problem and work on projects. The CloudOperation team is a highly skilled team. We do not have L1-L2-L3 position. Each team member is training on all parts of the job and expected to work on it independently or reachout for help when appropriate.

Required skills:

• Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture
• Experience supporting production databases and experience with RAC
• Expert in Oracle RAC, dataguard, PDB.
• Experience with Exadata or OCI is a plus
  
  

Role & Responsibilities:

• To maintain the existing database.
• Work with the team to deploy changes to the existing databases and provision new services.
• Performance tuning, backup, recovery and DR with stick RTO and RPO, Oracle RAC maintenance and monitoring are some of the responsibilities.
• Migrate production system from AWS RDS to Exadata
• Good understanding of Oracle database
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• 12 years of Oracle production support DBA experience is preferred
• Ability to quickly learn and start working on any new technologies based on the project needs.
• Good knowledge and experience with Oracle backup, recovery, transportable tablespace, RAC, data guard, Shell scripting related to database and performance tuning is preferred.
• Experience working in ISO certified environment is a plus
