Nurix is Looking for:

As a ML Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and mentoring a team of talented ML engineers and researchers. You will materilize the technical vision for our core AI components, oversee the execution of our ambitious Voice AI roadmap, and ensure the delivery of high-impact machine learning solutions. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for innovation in the AI space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and direction for key ML initiatives, including custom ASR/TTS,V2V development (with SSMs like Mamba, Hamba), Agentic RAG systems , and LLM orchestration.
• Foster an environment of growth, learning, and a culture of high performance.
• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of ML projects, from ideation and research through development, deployment (in collaboration with MLOps), and iteration.
• Drive architectural decisions for ML systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance for real-time voice applications.
• Collaborate closely with product management, engineering teams, and stakeholders to define project requirements, priorities, and deliverables.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML, particularly in speech technology, NLP, and large language models, and champion their adoption where relevant.
• Lead the design and implementation of research and development plans for next-generation voice AI capabilities, including V2V support and multi-lingual systems.
• Contribute to hiring and building a world-class ML team.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning, with a significant portion in a leadership or senior technical role.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex ML projects into production.
• Strong expertise in one or more of the following areas: Speech Recognition (ASR), Text-to-Speech (TTS), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Dialogue Systems, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Proficiency in Python and common ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
• Excellent understanding of ML system design, model evaluation, and MLOps principles.
• Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, and managing technical teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field
• Experience with State Space Models (SSMs) or other cutting-edge sequence modeling architectures.
• Familiarity with deploying ML models in real-time, low-latency environments (e.g., using Triton, Nvidia Riva, SGLang, vLLM).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their ML services.
• Contributions to the ML research community (e.g., publications, open-source projects).
• Experience in developing AI solutions for multiple languages.
