The Senior iOS Mobile Developer is part of the Software Applications Development Team and is responsible for analyzing component requirements, designing software solutions, and implementing Zimmer Biomet’s software systems on mobile and cloud platforms. Other responsibilities include envisioning app architecture, and managing technical factors related to performance, quality, resilience, and responsiveness. The right person for this role will be a detail-oriented, results oriented self-starter with the flexibility to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.

Location : Bengaluru

Work Mode : Hybrid (3 days in office)

How Youll Create Impact

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Create highly functional and innovative iOS solutions to solve real-world problems in the medical field.
• Lead the development of new features and maintain existing functionality in our iOS app, ensuring continuous integration and delivery.
• Mentor, guide, and establish best practices for the mobile (iOS) development team.
• Recommend improvements in technology, processes, tools, and frameworks to efficiently deliver high-quality software.
• Develop a strong understanding of the business domain, industry, and the unique needs of clients and end users.
• Demonstrate substantial experience with Swift, Swift Concurrency, Swift UI, and modern iOS frameworks. Knowledge of Objective-C is a plus but not required.
• Solve complex problems involving multiple systems and dependencies.
• Maintain, evolve, and improve mobile app architecture using modern design patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture).
• Collaborate closely with back-end engineers to integrate iOS applications with web services and APIs.

What Makes You Stand Out

Expected Areas Of Competence (i.e., Knowledge, Skills And Abilities)

• Proven software development experience and iOS skills development
• Experience working in an agile development environment. Experienced with any modern backend language, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, as well as MVC framework competence.
• Experience developing software using cloud services either from Azure or AWS.
• Exposure to analyzing acceptance criteria, as well as providing estimates of effort for those criteria with respect to Agile development methodology.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
