Position Overview

This senior leadership role drives engineering excellence and strategic technology initiatives across the organization. The position combines deep technical expertise with executive leadership responsibilities, overseeing engineering teams, architecture decisions, and technology strategy alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision Lead the development and execution of comprehensive engineering strategies that align with organizational goals. Drive innovation initiatives, establish technical roadmaps, and ensure engineering capabilities support long-term business growth. Champion digital transformation efforts and emerging technology adoption.

Team Leadership & Development Manage and mentor engineering teams across multiple disciplines, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Develop talent pipelines, establish career progression frameworks, and drive recruitment strategies for top-tier engineering talent.

Technical Architecture & Standards Oversee system architecture decisions, establish engineering standards and best practices, and ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions. Drive technical due diligence for major initiatives and guide platform evolution strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Lead engineering representation in executive forums and drive alignment between technical capabilities and market needs.

Operational Excellence Establish metrics, processes, and governance frameworks that ensure reliable service delivery, quality assurance, and risk management. Oversee engineering budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field; advanced degree preferred. 12+ years of progressive engineering experience with 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing large, distributed engineering teams.

Technical Expertise Deep understanding of modern software development practices, cloud architectures, data systems, and emerging technologies. Experience with enterprise-scale system design, security frameworks, and technology platform evolution.

Leadership Capabilities Proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering organizations. Strong change management skills, executive communication abilities, and experience driving cultural transformation in technology organizations.
