Why This Role Matters

As the Senior Director – Platform Product Management, you will define and lead the strategy for the shared platform that powers GoKwik's entire product ecosystem. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for building reusable platform capabilities that accelerate product development, improve reliability, and ensure consistency across merchant experiences.

Working closely with Product, Engineering, Data, AI, Security, and Business leaders, you will drive platform adoption, establish governance, and shape the long-term technical foundation that enables GoKwik to scale efficiently across products, merchants, and commerce platforms.

What You'll Own

Platform Strategy & Vision

• Define the long-term vision, roadmap, and priorities for GoKwik's platform ecosystem.
• Build reusable platform capabilities that enable multiple product teams to innovate faster.
• Balance short-term business priorities with long-term platform investments and technical scalability.
  
  

Shared Platform Capabilities

• Own shared services, APIs, data contracts, common workflows, and reusable platform components.
• Drive platform standardization across authentication, data models, integrations, infrastructure, and developer tooling.
• Ensure platform capabilities support multiple merchant environments, including Shopify, custom storefronts, and other eCommerce platforms.
  
  

Cross-Functional Product Leadership

• Partner with Product leaders to ensure new features are designed for extensibility, reusability, and multi-platform compatibility.
• Review product requirements and technical designs to ensure alignment with platform standards.
• Make strategic decisions on what should become shared platform capabilities versus product-specific implementations.
  
  

Platform Governance & Adoption

• Drive adoption of shared services, APIs, and reusable components across engineering and product teams.
• Reduce duplicate systems, fragmented implementations, and one-off product builds.
• Establish governance processes around platform standards, architecture reviews, migration plans, and exception management.
• Define and monitor platform success metrics across adoption, reliability, migration progress, platform velocity, and internal customer satisfaction.
  
  

Platform Execution & Delivery

• Own visibility into platform migrations, dependencies, milestones, risks, and execution plans.
• Partner with Engineering leaders on architecture, scalability, reliability, observability, deployment strategies, and platform SLAs.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI, AI, Security, Compliance, and Legal teams to embed governance, privacy, consent, and regulatory requirements into platform design.
• Improve internal developer experience through better documentation, discoverability, onboarding, and platform usability.
• Lead cross-functional operating cadences, including roadmap reviews, design reviews, adoption reviews, and stakeholder communication.
  
  

Who You Are

• 10–15 years of product management experience, with 5–8+ years leading platform products or technically complex product areas.
• Proven experience building platform products within B2B SaaS, fintech, commerce infrastructure, payments, developer platforms, API platforms, data platforms, or shared-services environments.
• Strong technical product expertise across APIs, distributed systems, platform architecture, data flows, scalability, reliability, and platform trade-offs.
• Comfortable partnering with senior Engineering leaders and contributing meaningfully to architecture and technical design discussions.
• Experienced in driving platform adoption across multiple product and engineering teams without direct authority.
• Strong product judgment with the ability to balance business priorities, platform investments, compliance, and engineering constraints.
• Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
• Thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments with significant ownership and ambiguity.
• Thinks in systems, reusable capabilities, service boundaries, governance, and long-term leverage rather than individual product features.
• Comfortable challenging architectural decisions while maintaining strong partnerships with engineering teams.
• Operates as both a strategic product leader and a hands-on execution owner for complex, cross-functional initiatives.
