Job Overview:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer specializing in GCP DevOps, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, end-to-end infrastructure and CI/CD automation for retail clients. Success in this role means delivering reliable, efficient deployment pipelines that accelerate software releases and promote seamless collaboration across engineering teams. You will play a critical part in driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring robust system performance and security. This position is integral to Tredence’s commitment to transforming retail businesses through innovative data-driven solutions. What will your role look like? - Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools. - Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes. - Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate them efficiently on Kubernetes clusters. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement DevOps best practices and improve release management. - Monitor infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and reliability. - Drive automation efforts for configuration management, deployment, and monitoring in a hybrid cloud environment. - Ensure security compliance and incorporate best practices in DevOps workflows. - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

You will need: - Demonstrate 4-8 years of experience in DevOps engineering, with hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) DevOps practices. - Exhibit strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code and infrastructure automation. - Possess solid experience with Jenkins for building and managing CI/CD pipelines. - Apply deep knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes orchestration. - Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Communicate effectively and collaborate seamlessly within cross-functional teams. Good to Have Skills: - Possess certifications such as Google Professional DevOps Engineer or Terraform Associate certification. - Have experience with additional cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and multi-cloud deployments. - Understand scripting languages (Python, Bash) to automate routine tasks. - Be familiar with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Cloud Monitoring services. - Have knowledge of security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments.
