Senior Category Buyer - Iron Castings

At AGCO, aims to lead day by day activities for suppliers from Castings category which deliver parts to EME/SA/NA sites (opportunity exists for >10 manufacturing sites from AGCO around the world). This position requires specialized depth in Castings category and procurement mastery within direct material to continue developing India supplier basis. Besides of Iron Castings, some Aluminum, investment castings and steel castings suppliers should be developed at India.

Your Impact 

• Develop and execute sub-categories sourcing strategies within Castings aligned with the overall category plan and needs
  Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities within Castings category. E.g. Iron Castings, Steel Castings, Aluminum castings, investment castings, etc.
• Analyze data related to sourcing, procurement, and supply chain processes to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. (Spend analysis, Risk assessment, KPI Analysis etc.). worldwide Castings spend is ~400M USD and this amount of purchasing volume might be quoted within India, therefore, this position requires an important level of organization for mass production and/or NPI opportunities that might be discussed
• Assist with the procurement process, including preparing purchase orders, tracking shipments, addressing the roadblocks with supplier. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize procurement costs while maintaining quality standards. Reach Cost savings targets conducting market research and supplier benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  Identify best sources for part quotation within India, ensuring RFX on time/cost/delivery selecting best supplier for AGCO needs;
  Develop purchase bids for multiple projects while interacting with internal stakeholders (engineering, quality, logistics, manufacturing, etc.);
• Prepare & launch RFXs, generate reports and analysis on various business cases, to have visibility of cost saving opportunities. Lead and co-ordinate projects (NPI/PCO/SBO/dual-sourcing/resourcing, etc.) within the Category Management Framework as per the requirements of the business;
  Take the lead for Long Term Agreements managing supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings, optimize payment terms, and drive value creation;
  As "one face to the supplier", lead the negotiations for all regions on behalf of the global team.

Your Experience and Qualifications 

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (preferably), Business Administration or any other business area
  
• Fluent communication skills in English is the minimum requirement and also Good Interpersonal skills
  
• Knowledge in MS Office, mainly Excel and PPT
  
• Negotiation experience in Purchasing (4 years minimum), hands on and result driven
  
• Experience and knowledge in Castings category is a must
