Senior Automation Test Engineer - Software Quality Assurance

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for :
  
  

i. Mobile applications using Appium (Android & iOS)

ii. Web applications using Selenium WebDriver with Java

• Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and smoke testing.
• Integrate automation test suites with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Review automation code and improve test quality, stability, and coverage.
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA, and ensure timely closure.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and manual QA teams.
• Generate and maintain detailed test execution reports using TestNG, Allure, or Extent Reports.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing.
• Mentor junior automation testers and contribute to continuous framework enhancements.
  
  

Must Have Skills

• 5 - 7 years of experience in automation testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with :
  
  

i. Appium (mobile automation for Android & iOS)

ii. Selenium WebDriver

iii. Java

• Experience with TestNG or JUnit.
• Build and dependency management using Maven or Gradle.
• Version control using Git.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins or similar).
• Good understanding of :
  
  

i. Mobile and web application testing concepts

ii. SDLC & STLC

iii. Defect life cycle

iv. Automation testing best practices

• Basic knowledge of API testing (Postman / Rest Assured is a plus).
• Exposure to BDD frameworks (Cucumber) is an added advantage.
  
  

Good To Have

• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments.
