Overview of the Enterprise Tools Support Engineer:

The Enterprise IT Tools Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, usability, and operational effectiveness of enterprise technology platforms and business-critical IT tools across the organization. This role provides technical support, system administration, user enablement, and application configuration services to ensure seamless business operations and high-quality user experience.

The role operates at the intersection of IT Operations, Enterprise Applications, User Support, and Business Process Enablement, delivering timely issue resolution, user access management, system customization, and data administration. The individual plays a hands-on role in troubleshooting complex issues, supporting application enhancements and releases, facilitating data integration, and driving continuous improvement through stakeholder engagement, training, and process optimization.

Enterprise Tools Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Provide first and second-level support to enterprise users for software applications via phone, email, and chat.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Document and track all support requests, resolutions, and follow-up actions in ServiceNow.
• Collaborate with the development team to escalate and resolve complex issues.
• Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to help users understand and effectively use Enterprise software.
• Assist in the testing of new software releases and updates to identify potential issues.
• Provide feedback to the development team on user experience and suggest improvements.
• Configuring/customizing commercial applications to meet business needs
• Support user account maintenance in software applications
• Facilitating Export or Import of data across multiple application platforms
• Create and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards using appropriate charts, visual layouts, filters, and drill-down capabilities to present business and operational data clearly.
• Full Understanding of business workflows and processes
• Developing good working relationships with users across the organization

Skills & Experience of the Enterprise Tools Support Engineer:

• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT tools, business applications, in a corporate environment
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably in software application support.
• Strong knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
• Working knowledge of Power BI data visualisation, including dashboard design, chart selection, data storytelling, interactive reports, and translating business requirements into meaningful visual insights.
• On-Call coverage may be required.

Preferred Software/Tool Experience:

• CRM/CSM/ITSM/CMDB: ServiceNow, Salesforce
• PDLC/SDLC: JIRA, Confluence, Kiplot, Gitlab Ultimate, Testrail.
• Enterprise tools: PowerBI, M365 suite
• Knowledge of SQL, scripting languages, or other programming languages is a plus.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms is desirable.
