About the Role:

As the SDV Integration Lead, you will play a pivotal role in steering the integration of software-defined vehicle (SDV) capabilities across multiple vehicle domains within Epiroc’s innovative autonomous and connected mining platforms. This position requires hands-on leadership in orchestrating and validating software integration efforts to facilitate seamless deployment and operational excellence.

You will coordinate closely with cross-functional teams including platform development, middleware, application engineers, cloud services, and validation specialists to ensure that all software components are effectively integrated and performance-ready. This role demands a strategic outlook on release planning, dependency resolution, and software baselining to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the complete software integration lifecycle for SDV projects, ensuring timely and stable delivery of software releases.
• Coordinate integration activities across diverse teams and software domains to promote alignment and resolve complex interdependencies.
• Drive the planning and management of software releases, including tracking dependencies and setting baselines to maintain product excellence.
• Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows to streamline integration processes and enhance productivity.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complicated integration challenges within distributed and containerized software systems.
• Develop and enforce integration strategies focused on over-the-air (OTA) updates and software rollout methodologies.
• Monitor software quality metrics rigorously and assess release readiness to maintain high standards throughout the deployment process.
• Support vehicle commissioning, rigorous testing phases, and deployment activities to ensure operational success in live environments.
  
  

Required Competences, Skills, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, or related technical fields.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in software development, system integration, or systems engineering roles.
• Proficient understanding of Linux-based software systems with practical experience in managing such environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools including but not limited to GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, complemented by experience in automation scripting.
• In-depth knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and middleware technologies.
• Experienced with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
