Job Description

This is a permanent role with one of the product startup in e-commerce domain - A valued client of Hiringeye.

Your Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems that underpin AI-driven commerce platform.
• You will build for high availability, low latency, and operational excellence across multi-region environments - always with a focus on optimizing performance.
• Design distributed storage, event-driven services, and compute frameworks for real-time data ingestion, vector search, and ML workloads.
• Drive improvements in system reliability, observability, and performance through robust automation, monitoring, and testing.
• Partner with product engineers, data engineers, and AI teams to build performant APIs and shared infrastructure components.
• Contribute to infrastructure automation and environment management using Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Mentor peers, share best practices, and raise the bar for distributed systems design across the organization.
  
  

• 7 years of experience designing, building, and scaling distributed systems or cloud-native services in high-growth or production-critical environments.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems principles — including consensus algorithms, sharding, partitioning, caching, and eventual consistency.
• Hands-on experience with distributed storage and messaging technologies (e.g., Kafka, Pulsar, DynamoDB, Cassandra, ClickHouse, or Redis).
• Proficiency in at least one modern language—Python (preferred), Go, or Rust.
• Experience building or integrating AI-adjacent systems such as RAG pipelines, vector stores, or durable workflows.
• Cloud-native expertise with AWS (S3, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, Lambda). Bonus: Redshift, SageMaker, or Bedrock, ClickHouse, Airbyte, or Airflow..
• Expertise in stream processing and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka Streams, Flink, or similar).
• Proven ability to deliver production-grade systems that scale and perform under demanding workloads and taking ownership from prototype to production.
• Strong collaborator with a bias for action—comfortable coding, debugging, and optimizing distributed systems in close partnership with other engineers.
• Strategic mindset and systems-level thinking: capable of balancing tradeoffs in performance, consistency, and cost to align technical choices with business impact.
• Nice to have is any awareness or experience on front end tech (e.g., react js)
