SAP Solution Engineer Distribution

The SAP Solution Specialist – Distribution will provide hands-on functional support for global implementation and support of SAP SD and Warehouse Management (WM) processes, with a focus on integration with 3PL logistics solutions. The role requires strong business process knowledge in warehouse operations, shipping, and distribution, and involves close collaboration with global functional teams, technical teams, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated and standardized solutions across systems and geographies.

Key Responsibilities

• Support global SAP SD/WM business solution implementations across end-to-end distribution and warehouse management processes
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements that add measurable business value
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and propose functional solutions promoting global standards, integration, and simplicity
• Prepare and maintain detailed functional specification documents
• Configure SAP SD/WM modules based on approved business requirements including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and warehouse operations
• Analyze and debug configuration or process issues, and work with technical teams to resolve them
• Monitor batch jobs, interfaces (including EDI), and SAP system health, with a focus on proactive issue resolution and 3PL integration
• Conduct solution testing and support business users in completing UAT and obtaining approvals
• Ensure smooth deployment of solution changes into production environments with minimal disruption
• Document all work clearly and assist with user training and post-go-live support
• Coordinate testing cycles and maintain adherence to GIT’s Solution Manager and documentation protocols
• Assist in special projects as assigned, providing regular updates and identifying potential timeline risks
• Respond to service requests efficiently and provide timely communication to end users
• Leverage and deploy Generative AI-assisted data analytics and apply logical constructs to custom programming steps to design efficient, scalable business solutions with minimal reliance on development resources
• Design, test, and implement business solutions by integrating SAP with non-SAP systems/applications (e.g., 3PL WMS, ShipERP, Pick Pro,UPS) working in collaboration with development teams
  
  

• SAP ECC AFS SD and WM Configuration
• Integration with 3PL systems and external logistics platforms (e.g., ShipERP, Pick Pro, VAS)
• Key warehouse processes: picking, putaway, inventory management, shipping, receiving, physical inventory, and returns
• EDI mapping, packing and shipping related outputs like packing slips, labels, VAS determination, export documentation, carrier labels
• End-to-end distribution and warehouse management solutions
• System troubleshooting, functional debugging, and interfaces monitoring
• Supporting business operations for OTC and warehouse execution processes
  
  

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Applications, Information Systems, or related field
• Preferred: Postgraduate education or certifications in SAP SD/WM or Supply Chain
  
  

• Minimum 1 full lifecycle SAP implementation in SD/WM modules
• At least 5 years of SAP SD and WM configuration experience in global environments
• Strong process knowledge in warehouse functions, shipping, logistics, and inventory control
• Experience integrating SAP with 3PL systems and transportation interfaces
• Basic technical understanding of ABAP (for debugging purposes)
• Experience with SQL or interface-related database queries is a plus
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with distributed global teams
• Customer-oriented mindset with attention to process efficiency and data accuracy
