We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM Techno-Functional Consultant with 6–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of functional expertise and technical capabilities to design, implement, and support EWM solutions aligned with business requirements. The candidate will be working on new EWM implementations, Enhancements and Production support.
Key Job Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP EWM solutions
Design, configure, and implement SAP EWM functionalities including inbound, outbound, internal warehouse processes, and RF framework
Work on integration with SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, WM
Develop functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams for custom developments (RICEF objects)
Perform system configuration, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and deployment support
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with strong root cause analysis
Support enhancements, rollouts, and continuous improvement initiatives
Work with interfaces including IDocs, BAPIs, and APIs
Provide end-user training and documentation
Be able to develop/fix programs using ABAP code
Required Qualifications
SAP EWM Functional/Technical Expertise : In-depth understanding of SAP EWM processes: Inbound & Outbound Processing, Putaway & Picking Strategies, Physical Inventory, Handling Units and Packing, Experience with Warehouse Order creation, Task Management, and Process-Oriented Storage Control (POSC).
SAP EWM Configuration Knowledge : Ability to read and interpret configuration settings (even if not directly configuring). Understand how customizing affects business processes (e.g., storage types, warehouse process types, RF profiles).
Integration Knowledge : Well versed in SAP EWM and SAP ERP integration via: CIF (Core Interface), qRFC (Queued Remote Function Calls)
User Experience and RF Design : Expertise in RF Framework and mobile device transactions, Ability to work with IT to enhance RF screens or troubleshoot UI issues
Hands-on experience with: Enhancements (BAdIs, user exits), Debugging and basic ABAP understanding, Interfaces (IDocs, RFCs, web services)
Additional Skills (Nice to Have) :
Knowledge of MFS (Material Flow System) integration, Experience with Fiori App configuration or UI5 interfaces
Understanding of Batch Management and Serialization, Familiarity with EWM on S/4HANA versus Decentralized EWM
Experience :6 to 8 years of SAP Techno/Functional experience. Expertise in creating and fixing code in SAP using ABAP.
