Safety Assurance Engineer

ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has been a major supplier of trains, signaling systems, infrastructure and services (maintenance, renovation and parts supply) to MTR Corporation over the last 40 years. Since the first metro project in Hong Kong in 1975, ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has supplied over 1,100 metro cars for its metro network and equipped seven lines with signaling systems currently in operation, contributing positively to the urban transport system development in Hong Kong.

We are looking for Safety Assurance Engineer based in Hong Kong to join our dynamic team. We deliver multiple signaling projects to our customer MTR with dedication to sustainable and smart mobility in the field of design, engineering, installation test & commissioning. Key accountabilities:

• Deliver/perform Safety analysis/HAZOP under the guidance of the PSAM, with the strict application of process as per Signalling Safety Instruction
• Participate to the elaboration of the Safety Reports and the Safety Case under the guidance of the PSAM
• Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the project / system / product
• Attend periodic Safety Reviews
• Support actions contributing to close the findings of the assessors (Internal or External)
  
  

Performance measurements:

• KPI SAF 001 - No "NO GO" for Safety reasons in Gate Reviews
• KPI SAF 002 - Assessment Findings: Low rework due to External / Internal Assessments
• KPI SAF 003 - Safety Findings: Quality of the inputs
• KPI SAF 004 - Late Safety Requirements Identification
• Safety reviews OK
• Respect QD of the deliverables as per PSAM guidance
• Compliance to process (through Inspections, …)
