RM Category Buyer- Your Future Position?

Purpose

Execute and implement local / regional strategies (and related tactical plans) to source small spend RM categories and secure supply for those categories in line business plan under supervision and guidance of Global Category Manager.

Core Responsibilities

Sourcing Strategy (with the guidance of Global Category Manager and Segment BP):

• Help in development and implementation of RM category strategies for the regional site.
• Analyze market and implement risk management strategies for the portfolio to ensure short term supplies issues are addressed with lasting solutions.
• Where applicable, lead sourcing strategy development within cross functional team for key categories.
• Drive sourcing strategy implementation by leading RFQs as necessary and key negotiations.
  
  

Portfolio Management

• Negotiate contracts locally for the assigned portfolio.
• Select, manage and audit suppliers.
• Identify opportunities for portfolio optimization and actively involve in creation and manufacturing development of optimization plans.
• Own key supplier relationship, and lead GBS escalated supplier conflict resolutions.
• Communicate to suppliers any forthcoming changes in demand/specifications.
• Ensure adequate contract cover for materials and supplier compliance to contracts.
• Ensure vendor performance at target levels.
  
  

Stakeholder Relationship

• Communicate to key internal stakeholders/Segment BP any market conditions changes which may affect the Business.
• Actively collaborate with the regional planning and QC teams to ensure supply performance.
• Conclude on the root causes and preventive actions for supply gaps and cost escalations in coordination with the regional teams.
• Report demand changes and vendor performance issues to the respective category managers.
• Actively support the responsible sourcing projects implementation & provide information to Procurement Sustainability Manager when needed.
  
  

Cost Optimization

• Provide sufficient information for business planning process.
• Develop cost reduction projects.
• Provide price forecast and market trends for key commodities.

Your Professional Profile Includes

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry/ Food Science/ Bioengineering or any relevant background.
• Possess 5 years of experience and above in Procurement and/or functional experience.
• Knowledge of F&F/FMCG/Chemical industry.
• Specific technical and market knowledge in the respective category.
• Fluent in English, knowledge of additional language is an added advantage.
• Possess negotiation skills, cultural awareness and adaptable to fast changing business requirements.
• Passion for success with a high energy level.
• Open to be based on-site in Jigani and flexible to travelling within India.
