Project Engineer SIS

Key Skills: Instrumentation & Controls, FAT and SAT, HMI development in 800xA

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Experienced in the selection, specification, configuration, testing and maintenance of safety instrumented systems (SIS) following IEC 61508/ 61511.
• Experience in oil & gas process knowledge, strong understanding of process units and business drivers. Experience and knowledge of instrument and control systems through design and field installation.
• Ability to design and engineer SIS using safety requirements specifications, alarm specification, cause and effect diagrams, system block diagrams, logic narratives and function / logic block diagrams.
• Proficient with SIS hardware design, system design, software design, application programming and HMI graphics development.
• Proficient with SIS design including functional design specifications, response time calculations, test specifications and SIL verification calculations.

Skills Required:

• 5 to 7 years of experience in SIS design including functional design specifications, response time calculations.
• Thorough understanding of P&ID symbology and presentation techniques.
• Knowledge of instrument maintenance practices.
• Must be willing to travel to customer sites for commissioning activities of SIS.

Education: BE /B Tech (Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical).
